I'm an artist (meant as a craft) and I do it as a job. I'm definitely not doing this work only for my own pleasure.

So please, don't send me any requests for cooperation or for using my works for your projects, if you are not disposed to pay. I'm not providing my works for free, not even when the credit is mentioned. Please realize that this is not fair; everyone has a right to get a payment for his work. You are paying for things, which you need for your life, food, fuel, housing etc.

Art is something about this all, so why should it be for free? Not any single reason exists. I'm open to any cooperation, which is standing on a fair deal and honesty, and of course which offers an adequate payment for the used work.

Thanks for understanding.

Please clarify: You say "I'm not providing my works for free, not even when the credit is mentioned." Does that mean that the works for which you have actually been paid are not posted here on DA? If people want to collaborate with you, they must pay you, and then... the work done together gets posted here?... Or sold in some outside venue? You are a professional at your art, so do paying customers ask you not to post the works here? I just don't quite understand what you mean.

I understand what you say, but It's a shame, i´m from Yucatán, we are doing a Roll Playing Event, totally Free, so we don´t get any money from that.. even we spend our money because we love it.

I want to use your image for the poster, but because i can't pay that is impossible...

Any way, thanks for the estetic view... and I totally understand.

Allthough i agree with you to some point, i have many disagreements . First of all Art is not a product i think. you can make things by having an artistic approach but this doesn t mean they are "Art", as art is a very heavy word to use so lightly. I don t believe that an Artist is like a barber or a psychiatrist. Artist is not a proffession, drawer-painter-illustrator etc. is. I understand that you are a proffessional and you don t want your hard work to be abused, noone does actually, but imagine that you might provide some help for others through your work to create something beautiful too. . . This is Art for me. . .and it should be free. . .like information . . for everyone to use.
